LSU Shreveport women's tennis standout Pierina Lescher has been named to the NAIA Third Team All-American, the national office announced today. Lescher becomes the first tennis player in LSUS program history to receive All-American recognition, capping off a historic and dominant 2025 campaign.
The LSUS women’s tennis program was well-represented in the 2025 Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) postseason awards, with standout performances earning Pierina Lescher, Sara Sofia Sanchez, and Angela Basto prestigious honors.
The LSUS women’s tennis team dropped a tightly contested match to Louisiana Christian University, 4-3, in the quarterfinal round of the Red River Athletic Conference Women’s Tennis Championship on Monday morning.
The LSU Shreveport women’s tennis team begins postseason play this week in the 2025 Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Women’s Tennis Championship, entering the tournament as the No. 4 seed. The Pilots will face No. 5 seed Louisiana Christian University in a quarterfinal match on Thursday, April 17, at 8 a.m. at the Blossom Tennis Center in San Antonio.
The LSUS women’s tennis team capped off its season in dominant fashion Friday morning, defeating Texas A&M University-Texarkana 4-0 at the Pilot Tennis Courts.
