SHREVEPORT, La. – The LSUS women's tennis team capped off its season in dominant fashion Friday morning, defeating Texas A&M University-Texarkana 4-0 at the Pilot Tennis Courts. The Pilots celebrated seniors Nicoleta Anestiadi and Angela Basto in their final home match, securing their eighth win of the season.

LSUS set the tone in doubles play, winning both completed matches to claim the early advantage. Lidia Gomez and Sara Sofia Sanchez defeated Jaelee Young and Meghan Connolly 6-2, while Basto and Ana Mandrot secured another 6-2 victory over Andrea Castillo and Adrianna Guangko. The match featuring Pierina Lescher and Daniela Maldonado against Ana Gonzalez was halted at 5-3.

In singles competition, the Pilots quickly wrapped up the match with three decisive wins. Gomez took down Emma Bessi 6-2, 6-1, while Sanchez followed with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Young. Anestiadi sealed the team victory with a 6-1, 6-3 win against Connolly.

With the victory, LSUS concludes the season with an 8-4 overall record.
