Shreveport, Louisiana—The Pilots took to the field Thursday afternoon in an impressive display of offensive ability to take down the Steers of Texas College 14-0. With the win the Pilots improve to an overall record of 10-3-3 and a conference record of 8-1-3.
The Pilots jumped swiftly on the Steers as just five minutes into the match they had compiled three goals. Olivia Sanchez opened the scoring for the Pilots 51 seconds into the match. The Pilots closed the first half having taken 27 shots and scoring four goals.
The Pilots continued to dominate the Steers as the second half commenced. They compiled 38 shots scoring another 10 goals. In their quest to dominate the Pilots broke four program single game records including shots in a single game with 65 shots, shots on goal with 39, goals with 14, and assists with 15.
Four pilots contributed two goals each as Chelsea Brown, Dawniella Torres, Charlotte Schmidt, and Magdalena Uriarte, accounted four eight of the Pilots goals. Sofia Ahlstedt, Diana Sanchez, Abbie Rutledge, Ally Clear, Alva Martinez, and Olivia Sanchez had a goal each to round of the Pilot scoring affair.
The Pilots will be back in action Saturday October 28th as they take on the Bulldogs of Jarvis Christian for Senior Day. Kick off is set for 1:00pm CT from The Swamp in Shreveport, Louisiana.
