Shreveport, Louisiana—In a fiercely competitive soccer match, the LSUS Pilots emerged victorious, defeating Jarvis Christian with a final score of 3-1. The Pilots and Bulldogs battled hard for possession right from the start. With the win the Pilots secured the RRAC Conference Regular Season Champion titled as well as an overall record of 13-4-1 and a conference record of 11-2.
In the 27th minute, the Bulldogs caught the Pilots off guard and managed to slide one past the goalkeeper, taking the lead 1-0. However, the Pilots swiftly responded, leveling the field in the 38th minute. A well-executed give-and-go play between Kevin Sithole and Alex Charles resulted in Charles finding the back of the net, leaving the goal keeper with no chance. The teams headed to halftime deadlocked at 1-1, but the Pilots had the edge in shots, outshooting the Bulldogs 5-2.
The Pilots emerged from the halftime break with renewed determination. Once again, Kevin Sithole played a pivotal role, setting up a teammate for success. This time, it was Bernardo Pacheco who rocketed a shot into the net, giving the Pilots a well-deserved lead. The Pilots held off the Bulldogs, with both teams taking four shots in the second half.
As the game neared its conclusion, Jake Strachan secured the victory for the Pilots with a successful penalty kick, cementing the final score at 3-1.
