Texarkana, Texas—In a postseason-sequel match on the Morgan Field pitch, the LSU Shreveport Pilots battled to a 1-0 victory over the Eagles of Texas A&M Texarkana. With the win the Pilots move to an overall record of 10-4-1 and a conference record of 8-2.
The Pilots and Eagles butted heads through the first half as each attempted to secure the opening goal of the match. But as the clock ticked down neither could secure a go-ahead goal.
The second half opened up and a combination from the Pilots saw Emiel Nieuwhof sinking the ball into the back of the Eagles net, lifting the Pilots to a much needed lead. The Pilots held the Eagles off to the last second as freshman Ashton Bonsall thwarted many goal attempts.
