Lescher Named RRAC Player of the Week
WACO, Texas – Pierina Lescher of LSU Shreveport (La.) claimed the RRAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week award for the first time this season. This is the 10th set of weekly winners for the 2024 RRAC tennis season.
Lescher earned victories in both her completed singles matches and went 1-1 in doubles at the LSUA tournament. The freshman from Maracaibu, Venezuela played at #1 singles and defeated her TWU opponent, 7-5, 6-1, followed by a victory over OLLU, 6-2, 6-1. Lescher also was a set up in her match with Mbali Langa of Xavier, leading 7-5, 0-2. LSUS is 5-4 on the season.
