Charlestin Departs LSUS After Two Successful Seasons for Paul Quinn College

Shreveport, La. – The Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS) Athletics Department announces that women's soccer head coach Clark Charlestin will be departing after two successful seasons with the Pilots to assume the men's head coaching position at Paul Quinn College.
Charlestin leaves LSUS after amassing an impressive 28-9-4 overall record, including a dominant 23-2-3 mark in Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) play. Under his leadership, the Pilots reached new heights, culminating in a 2024 RRAC Regular Season Championship with a 12-1 conference record and an overall mark of 15-5-1. His tenure also saw LSUS secure an NAIA National Women's Soccer Tournament appearance in the 2024 season. As the RRAC Women's Soccer Regular Season Champions, LSUS earned an automatic bid and played in the first-round of the national tournament.
Additionally, Charlestin coached three standout players who earned recognition on the 2024 Louisiana Sports Writers Association (LSWA) Collegiate Women's Soccer All-Louisiana Team. Dawniella Torres and Diana Godines were named to the prestigious First-Team All-Louisiana, while Juliana Anchondo received an honorable mention.
"We would like to thank Clark for his time at LSUS," said LSUS Athletic Director Lucas Morgan. "He successfully elevated our women's soccer program and put us in a great position for the future. We wish him success in his next stop."
The search for the next head coach of the LSUS women's soccer program will begin soon.
