Garcia Earns RRAC Women's Soccer Weekly Honors

WACO, Texas -- Melanie Garcia delivered two important wins for the Pilots while in goal this week and helped her secure the Red River Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week. The junior goalkeeper from San Francisco earned a 2-0 shutout over LSU Alexandria (La.) then recorded seven saves in a 3-1 victory over Louisiana Christian University. Garcia has a 1.47 goals against average this season for the Pilots, who are now 7-1 in the RRAC and 10-3 on the season.
