Pilots Cruise to Victory Over North American, 11-0

SHREVEPORT, LA — On Saturday afternoon, the Louisiana State University-Shreveport Pilots (LSUS) women's soccer team put on a commanding performance against North American University, triumphing with a decisive 11-0 scoreline. The Pilots now advance to 8-3 overall and 5-1 in Red River Athletic Conference play.

Dawniella Torres was instrumental for the Pilots pulling off a hat trick. Torres notched two goals in the 52nd and 88th minutes and provided an impressive three assists throughout the match. Juliuna Anchondo also contributed significantly, finding the back of the net twice, in the 15th and 74th minutes.

Yuvia Vasquez scored in the 15th minute and provided two assists, demonstrating her ability to create opportunities for her teammates. Diana Leon shone brightly with a hat trick, scoring goals in the 69th, 77th, and 81st minutes, and added one assist to her tally.

Mada Uriarte's two goals, in the 7th and 24th minutes, further extended the Pilots' early lead, while Jillian Rogers rounded out the scoring for LSUS with a goal in the 89th minute.

With a well-balanced attack and excellent teamwork, the Pilots overwhelmed their opponent from the outset, securing another key conference victory.

LSUS will be back in action on the pitch Thursday, Oct. 10 against LSU-Alexandria. Match time is set for 1 p.m.
