Two Clean Sheets Score Correa RRAC Defensive Player of the Week

WACO, Texas – Karina Correa of LSU Shreveport (La.) earned RRAC Defensive Player of the Week for the week of September 16-22. This is the fifth set of conference awards for the 2024 women's soccer season.
Correa recorded two shutouts as the Pilots started the conference season with a pair of wins. The junior goalkeeper from Austin, Texas, kept Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas) at bay with five saves in a 4-0 victory. Correa also kept Texas A&M University-San Antonio scoreless in a 4-0 win. She leads the RRAC with a 0.41 goals against average. LSUS moved to 5-2 overall.
