SHREVEPORT, LA – The LSUS Pilots women's soccer team continued their impressive season with a commanding 4-0 victory over the Texas A&M San Antonio Jaguars on Saturday. This decisive win improves the Pilots' overall record to 5-2 and establishes them at 2-0 in the Red River Athletic Conference.

The scoring kicked off early when Juliana Anchondo found the back of the net in the third minute scoring her sixth goal of the season, assisted by Dawniella Torres. The Pilots maintained pressure throughout the first half, and their efforts paid off again when Gisell Jimenez doubled the lead in the 35th minute with a well-placed shot, assisted by Gemma White.

In the second half, the Pilots continued their dominance. Dawniella Torres scored in the 52nd minute, with Yuvia Vazquez providing the assist. Jillian Rogers capped the scoring in the 73rd minute, finishing a play initiated by Anchondo.

Goalkeeper Karina Correa recorded a clean sheet, making several crucial saves to keep the Jaguars at bay.

Making a statement the first week of the conference season, LSUS outscored the city of San Antonio 8-0 over the two games. The Pilots will return to action next Thursday as they face Houston-Victoria on the road.
