Alcalde Named Player of the Week in Final Set of Conference Awards
Shreveport, Louisiana— The RRAC released their final set of conference weekly awards and Carlota Alcalde of the Pilot Women's Soccer team took home the final award for Defensive player of the week. This is here second award of the season.
The senior from Valladolid, Spain expertly guided her team to a 1-0 victory over the Saints of Our Lady of the Lake on Friday November 3rd. Alcalde had a few points in the game where she had to stifle the Saints offense, but the Saints had no actual shots on the frame. Alcalde picked up another clean sheet for the Pilots, her fifth of the season.
The Pilots will be back in action November 9th as they travel to Texarkana to face the Texas A&M Texarkana Eagles in the RRAC Conference Tournament Semifinals. Kickoff is set for 1:30pm from Judy Morgan Field in Texarkana, Texas.
