Lady Pilots Take Down Bull Dogs 3-1

Shreveport, Louisiana—In a thrilling soccer match on Senior Day, the Pilots women's soccer team secured a resounding 3-1 victory over the Bulldogs of Jarvis Christian. The Pilots were determined to claim the win from the moment they stepped onto the field. With the win the Pilots move to an overall record of 11-3-3 and a conference record of 9-1-3.

Senior Chelsea Brown opened the scoring for the Pilots in the 14th minute, showcasing her skill as Dawniella Torres set her up for a well-executed goal. The first half ended 1-0 in favor of the Pilots, despite the Bulldogs' valiant efforts to hold them off. The Pilots dominated the first half, outshooting the Bulldogs 7-4.

As the second half commenced, the Pilots displayed their hunger for more goals. In the 70th minute, Yuvia Vazquez delivered a precise ball, allowing Chelsea Brown to redirect it and Ally Clear to finish with finesse, extending the Pilots' lead to 2-0. The Bulldogs, however, were not ready to surrender. In the 78th minute, they managed to find the back of the net, keeping the game alive.

With only five seconds left on the clock, Ksenjia Pavlovic sealed the victory for the Pilots, sending a powerful shot past the Bulldogs' keeper, bringing the final score to 3-1. Once again, the Pilots outshot the Bulldogs, this time with a 7-3 advantage in the second half.

This triumphant win on Senior Day was a testament to the Pilots' determination and teamwork, showcasing their skills on the soccer field and providing their seniors with a memorable send-off. The Pilots will host the first round of the RRAC Conference Tournament after having secured a seeding in the top 4.
