LSUS Women’s Basketball Shines with Five Pilots Earning RRAC All-Conference Honors

SHREVEPORT, La. – The LSUS Pilots continue to make their mark on the court as five standout players have been named to the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) All-Conference teams, showcasing the program's depth and talent.

Selma Markisic headlines the honors with a selection to the RRAC First Team. The offensive powerhouse led the Pilots with 13.0 points per game, shooting an efficient 42.8% from the field, proving to be a consistent scoring threat throughout the season. She also contributed across the stat sheet, averaging 4.4 rebounds per game, 2.2 assists per game, and 2.4 steals per game.

Teammates Helena Galunic and Paula Gonzalez Herrero earned Second Team All-Conference selections. Galunic, a dominant force in the paint, averaged 11.6 points per game and led LSUS on the boards with 179 total rebounds, while also contributing 2.3 assists per game. Gonzalez Herrero provided additional offensive firepower, contributing 11.2 points per game, 3.6 rebounds per game, 2.5 assists per game, and 2.6 steals per game, solidifying LSUS as one of the most balanced squads in the league.

On the defensive end, Erynn Williams received an Honorable Mention nod for her relentless hustle and defensive intensity. Williams was a nightmare for opposing offenses, finishing the season with 79 steals, averaging 3.1 steals per game. She holds the LSUS single-game record with eight steals and was named RRAC Defensive Player of the Week three times during the 2024-25 campaign. She also contributed across the board, averaging 7.3 points and 2.8 rebounds per game.

Rounding out the accolades, Tiarra Tillison was named to the RRAC All-Champions of Character Team, recognized for her leadership on and off the court. A key role player for the Pilots, Tillison averaged 5.4 points, 1.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.4 steals per game, demonstrating her versatility and commitment to the team's success.

The Pilots' impressive showing in the RRAC All-Conference selections is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and team-first mentality. With a strong core of talent and leadership, LSUS continues to raise the bar in the RRAC.

LSUS begins their postseason campaign as they take on No. 8-seeded Paul Quinn College in the opening round of the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Women's Basketball Tournament. The game tips off on Friday, February 28, at 3 p.m. at the Rapides Parish Coliseum in Alexandria, Louisiana.
