Erynn Williams Named RRAC Defensive Player of the Year

Shreveport, La. — The defensive dominance of LSUS senior guard Erynn Williams has officially been recognized, as she has been named the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Defensive Player of the Year. Williams, a Saginaw, Mich., native, was a relentless force on the court, setting a new single-season program record with 79 steals.
A true defensive powerhouse, Williams anchored the Pilots with her tenacity and quick hands, averaging 3.1 steals per game. She also holds the LSUS single-game record with eight steals and was a three-time RRAC Defensive Player of the Week during the 2024-25 season.
While known for her defensive prowess, Williams contributed across the board, posting 7.3 points per game and 2.8 rebounds per game. Her ability to disrupt opposing offenses made her one of the most formidable defenders in the conference and a key factor in the Pilots' success this season.
Williams and the Pilots open the postseason against No. 8-seeded Paul Quinn College in the opening round of the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Women's Basketball Tournament. The matchup is set for Friday, February 28, with tip-off at 3 p.m. at the Rapides Parish Coliseum in Alexandria, Louisiana.
