Erynn Williams Named RRAC Defensive Player of the Week

SHREVEPORT, LA – Louisiana State University Shreveport women's basketball standout Erynn Williams has been named the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday. Williams earned the honor following a dominant defensive performance, including a record-setting outing in the Pilots' 73-60 victory over Texas A&M-Texarkana.

Williams tallied 12 steals over two games last week, showcasing her exceptional defensive instincts and relentless energy. In the matchup against Texas A&M-Texarkana, she made history by setting an LSUS single-game record with eight steals, sparking the Pilots' defensive effort and contributing to the team's decisive win.

Her ability to disrupt opposing offenses was instrumental in helping LSUS improve their season record to 3-2. Williams' leadership on the defensive end has solidified her as one of the premier defenders in the RRAC, making this award well-deserved.
