LSUS Tops RRAC Women's Basketball Preseason Poll, Receive 11 of 13 First Place Votes

SHREVEPORT, La. -- LSU Shreveport holds a 25-game winning streak against conference competition, which made the Pilots the coaches' choice as the top pick in the 2024-25 RRAC Women's Basketball Preseason Poll. LSUS grabbed 11-of-13 first place votes following its perfect run through the regular season and RRAC tournament last year.

Xavier and LSU Alexandria finished second and third with one first-place vote each.

Gone from LSUS is first team all-conference selection Destanee Roblow, but the Pilots return Alexis Brown, Tiarra Tillison and Erynn Williams. The Pilots also added a host of transfers including Selma Markisic of Hofstra University (N.Y.) and Haley Stinebrickner of Stetson University (Fla.) under first-year head coach Tim Hays.

"It's great that the program and our student athletes are being recognized as a capable group," Hays said. "We win with our process, and what we do on the court and in our preparation night in and night out throughout the season. There are some very good teams and players in this league and we will not look past anyone."

LSUS will open the season at home in "The Dock" against Loyola University New Orleans on Sunday, Oct. 27. Tip off is set for 2 p.m.
