Women's Basketball Adds Fourth Win to Conference Streak

Austin, Texas —In a decisive victory, LSU Shreveport's women's basketball team triumphed over Huston Tillotson with a final score of 62-48. With the win the Pilots improve to 8-2 on the season and 4-0 in the conference.

The Pilots dominated early, leading 18-10 in the first quarter and extending their advantage with a 17-10 second quarter. Their efficient shooting included a 14-28 field goal record, one three-pointer, and 6-8 successful free throws. In contrast, the Rams struggled at 8-29 from the field and 4-5 at the free-throw line.

The Pilots maintained control in the second half, adding 16 points in the third quarter while contending with the Rams' 15-point response. Although the Rams outscored the Pilots 13-11 in the fourth quarter, it wasn't enough to overcome the earlier deficit.

Destanee Roblow shone as the lone Pilot in double digits, securing a double-double. Roblow's impressive performance included a 7-9 field goal record, 5-6 from the free-throw line, 12 rebounds, and a notable block. The Pilots' well-rounded effort secured their convincing victory on the court.

The Pilots will be back to action Tuesday December 19th as they face the Ragin' Cajuns of UL Lafayette in an exhibition game. Tip-off is set for 11:00am CT from Lafayette, Louisiana.
