LSU Shreveport Holds Steady at No. 7 in Final NAIA Coaches’ Poll
SHREVEPORT, La. — The LSU Shreveport men's soccer team will close out the regular season ranked No. 7 in the NAIA Men's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll, marking the highest final national ranking in program history.
The Pilots began the 2025 campaign ranked No. 13 in the preseason poll before briefly slipping to No. 15 on September 3. From there, LSUS steadily climbed through the rankings — reaching No. 14 on September 17, No. 12 on October 1, and No. 11 on October 15 — before breaking into the Top 10 at No. 7 on October 29, where they have remained.
Under head coach Adam Kay, LSU Shreveport put together one of its strongest seasons to date, finishing the regular season with a 12-1-5 overall record and a 10-1 mark in Red River Athletic Conference play.
The Pilots carried that momentum into postseason play, delivering a commanding 3-1 victory over Texas A&M University–San Antonio in Monday's RRAC Championship semifinal match.
LSUS will look to add to its amazing season when it faces Xavier University of Louisiana in the Red River Athletic Conference Championship game today (Nov. 12) at 3:30 p.m. at Judy Kelley Morgan Field in Texarkana, Texas.
