Pilots Achieve No. 13 National Ranking in NAIA Coaches' Postseason Poll

SHREVEPORT, La. – Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS) Men's Soccer has capped off an accolade-filled season with a No. 13 ranking in the NAIA Men's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Postseason Poll. This achievement underscores a season of excellence, resilience, and historic accomplishments for the Pilots.
The Pilots posted an impressive 14-4-4 overall record, remaining unbeaten in Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) play with an 11-0-2 mark. Their dominance in league play earned them a top seed heading into the RRAC Tournament, where they faced a narrow 1-0 defeat to Louisiana Christian University in the semifinal round.
Despite the setback, LSUS remained focused, advancing to the NAIA National Tournament and making program history along the way. After defeating Mid-America Christian University (MACU) in an emphatic 4-1 victory during the tournament's second round, the Pilots secured their place in the national spotlight. The team advanced to the tournament's final site in Wichita, Kansas, and the Round of 16.
Head Coach Adam Kay and the Pilots faced a challenging matchup against Bellevue University (Nebraska) in the Round of 16, battling hard but ultimately falling 1-0 in a closely contested match. The defeat marked the end of a season that showcased the Pilots' talent, teamwork, and determination.
LSUS's national ranking and postseason success reflect their growth as a program and their commitment to excellence both on and off the field. As the team looks ahead to the next season, the foundation of success built this year will serve as a springboard for even greater accomplishments.
