LSUS Men’s Soccer Falls to Louisiana Christian in RRAC Semifinals, 0-1

TEXARKANA, Texas – The Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS) men's soccer team fell to Louisiana Christian University (LCU) in a hard-fought Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) semifinal match on Tuesday night, narrowly dropping a 1-0 decision to the Wildcats.

In a game that showcased strong defensive efforts from both sides, the Pilots battled through a scoreless first half but were unable to overcome a decisive second-half goal. LCU's Thiago Lopes broke the deadlock in the 60th minute, finding the back of the net to give his team the lone goal of the match.

LSUS goalkeeper Kyle McLeish delivered a solid performance, recording three crucial saves to keep the game close. On the opposite end, Rodrigo Silva stood tall for the Wildcats, registering four saves to secure the shutout.

Despite the loss, the Pilots' successful regular season ensures that their journey is not over. As the RRAC Men's Soccer Regular Season Champions, LSUS has secured an automatic bid to the NAIA National Men's Soccer Tournament. The Pilots will now await the national tournament bracket announcement, where they will learn the details of their first-round opponent.

LSUS looks to regroup and prepare for the next stage as they set their sights on making an impactful run in the NAIA National Tournament.
