Pilots Claims RRAC Regular Season Championship with 4-0 Victory Over Texas College

SHREVEPORT, LA — The Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS) Pilots men's soccer team clinched the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Regular Season Championship with a dominant 4-0 victory over Texas College on Wednesday afternoon. The win solidifies the Pilots' outstanding season as they improve to 12-2-3 overall and remain undefeated in conference play at 11-0-1.

The Pilots struck early, with Guillermo Ferreiro opening the scoring in the 13th minute. Ferreiro connected on a well-placed assist from Kodai Tanaka and Joel Trueb to put LSUS ahead 1-0.

After halftime, Jack Thomas added to the Pilots' lead, scoring in the 52nd minute with an assist from Ferreiro. Thomas found the back of the net again in the 67th minute, capitalizing on another setup by Trueb to make it 3-0.

Ferreiro closed out the scoring in the 80th minute, converting off a pinpoint assist from Felix Mesquita to seal the Pilots' 4-0 victory.

With this win, LSUS will aim to maintain their momentum as they head into postseason play. The Pilots return to action on Saturday, Nov. 2, facing Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins, Texas. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
