Thomas, Mcleish Named RRAC Players of the Week

WACO, Texas – Jack Thomas of LSU Shreveport (La.) garnered the RRAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week award for Sept. 23-29, while his teammate, Kyle Mcleish, repeated as the RRAC Defensive Player of the Week for the same dates. This is the sixth set of conference winners for the 2024 men's soccer season.

Thomas notched three goals in a 2-0 week for the Pilots. The junior midfielder from Whittington, England, accounted for both LSUS goals in a key victory over the University of Houston-Victoria (Texas) and he netted another in a 5-0 win over Huston-Tillotson University (Texas). Thomas is fourth in the RRAC in goals scored (6) and tied for fourth in points (13). The Pilots are at the top of the conference standings at 4-0 with a 5-2-2 mark overall.

Mcleish recorded the key shutout for the Pilots against UHV. The senior from Maidstone, England, collected a save as LSUS remained unbeaten in conference play. Mcleish improved to a 1.63 goals against average.
