Thomas Scores Two More...Pilots Stay Hot

Victoria, TX – The LSUS Pilots showcased their dominance on the field with a decisive 2-0 victory over the UHV Jaguars this past weekend. The win advances the Pilots' record to 4-2-2 overall and solidifies their impressive start in the Red River Athletic Conference, improving their conference record to 3-0.

The match began with both teams vying for control, but it was the Pilots who struck first. In the 12th minute, Jack Thomas netted his first goal of the game, giving LSUS an early lead. The team maintained pressure throughout the first half, with notable attempts from Guillermo Ferreiro and several corner kicks that tested the Jaguars' defense.

Despite the Jaguars' efforts, LSUS goalkeeper Kyle Mcleish stood strong, making crucial saves and ensuring a clean sheet. As the second half unfolded, the Pilots continued to dominate possession and created multiple scoring opportunities.

In the 70th minute, Thomas found the net again, this time assisted by Ferreiro, effectively sealing the victory with a second goal for LSUS.

LSUS is beginning to find their stride early in conference play. The defense has started to settle in, lead by Mcleish and Thomas has become a scoring machine for Pilots coming off back-to-back two goal games.

The Pilots will look to build on this momentum in their next matchup on Saturday in Austin as they face Huston-Tillostson.
