Strachan Repeats as Defensive Player of Year As Pilots Seat Four on All-Conference First Team

Texarkana, Texas—The reigning back-to-back Red River Athletic Conference champion Men's Soccer team were well represented on the All-Conference awards that were released Wednesday night. The Pilots put four members on the First Team, while placing one member on the Second Team, one on the Honorable Mention Team, and two on the All-Freshman Team. Jake Strachan repeated as the Defensive Player of the Year, and Head Coach Adam Kay was selected as the Coach of the Year in his first season.

Defensive Player of the Year - Jake Strachan, Sr. Carnoustie, Scotland

Strachan, the first repeat Defensive Player of the Year in program history, had another stellar year anchoring the back line for the Pilots. Strachan started all 19 games for the Pilots while also recently setting the program record for games played. He has three goals on the season, but was a major factor in the 11 clean sheets the Pilots have posted this season. Strachan was also selected as a First Team member for the second year in a row and was named RRAC Defensive Player of the Week one time during the season.
