Pilots Rope In Win Against the Steers, 8-0

Shreveport, Louisiana—The Pilots took to the field Thursday afternoon in a stat-padding match to take down the Steers of Texas College 8-0. With the win the Pilots improve to an overall record of 10-4-1 and a conference record of 10-2.

 

The Pilots and Steers took their time to feel the game out and attempt to garner a foot up. The Pilots were dominant on the pitch as the battered the Steers goal, but it took just a bit to get started. Jack Thomas scored for the Pilots in the 16th minute giving them a 1-0 lift. It was another 20 minutes before the Pilots would score again, this time Guillermo Ferreiro finding the net in the 43rd minute. The Pilots closed the half up 2-0 having taken 14 shots.

 

The Pilots were determined grow their Lara's as the last 45 minute progressed. The Pilots compiled six more goals beginning with Alex Golder scoring in the 54th minute. Kevin Sithole, Liam Vivian, Bernardo Pacheco, and Alex Charles each netted a ball before Ferreiro once again closed the scoring. The Pilots out shot the Steers 21-1 in the second half. With the win, the Pilots also broke the single season record for goals.

 

The Pilots will be back in action Saturday October 28th as they take on the Bulldogs of Jarvis Christian for Senior Day. Kick off is set for 3:30pm CT from The Swamp in Shreveport, Louisiana.
