Pilots Men's Soccer Shuts Down Huston Tillotson

Shreveport, Louisiana— In a soccer showdown filled with incredible goals and a commanding performance, the Pilot Men's soccer team left their mark with a dominant 7-0 victory over the Rams of Huston Tillotson. The first half showcased the Pilots' offensive firepower. The Pilots improved their overall record to 5-3-1 while improving their conference record to 3-1.

The Pilots wasted no time and got straight to business. Alex Charles was the star of the show, starting his goal-scoring spree in the 12th minute. A well-timed pass from Alex Golder set up Charles perfectly, and he calmly slotted the ball into the net to open the scoring. Charles wasn't done yet; he struck again just eight minutes later, this time with assistance from Carlo Lopez.

In a truly remarkable first half for Charles, he completed his hat trick in the 23rd minute, courtesy of a well-executed setup from Jack Thomas. The Pilots continued to pile on the pressure, with freshman David Vejsmose adding another goal in the 33rd minute.

The first-half goal-fest didn't end there. Kevin Sithole and Bernardo Pacheco both contributed to the scoring, netting two more goals in the closing minutes of the half. This extraordinary display of offense sent the Pilots into the halftime break with a commanding 6-0 lead.

The Pilots dominated not only in the goal column but also in shot statistics. They unleashed an impressive total of 19 shots during the first half, effectively denying the Rams any meaningful scoring opportunities.

As the second half kicked off, the Pilots continued to maintain their relentless attack, ripping off 10 more shots. Jack Thomas added the finishing touch, scoring in the 55th minute and capping off a sensational performance. Ashton Bonsall finished the game with one save from the Pilots net while collecting his second straight clean sheet.

The Pilots will be back in action Thursday September 28^th as they take on the Gold Rush of Xavier in a conference match-up. Kickoff is set for 3:30pm CT from New Orleans, Louisiana.
