Men's Soccer Falls at the Hands of Texas A&M San Antonio

San Antonio, Texas—Shreveport Pilots faced off against the Texas A&M San Antonio Jaguars, resulting in disheartening 3-2 loss for Shreveport. The Pilots found themselves in a tough spot right from the start as the Jaguars wasted no time in asserting their dominance.

The Jaguars struck first in the 10th minute with an unexpected turn of events. A seemingly harmless shot took an awkward bounce, leaving the Pilots' keeper diving in vain as the ball sailed over him and into the net. The Pilots were visibly shaken but tried to regroup and find their footing. However, their efforts were thwarted when the Jaguars added a second goal in the 23rd minute, extending their lead to 2-0 as halftime approached. The Pilots found themselves outshot 6-5 in the first half, struggling to break through the Jaguars' defense.

As the second half began, the Pilots returned to the field with renewed determination. They were relentless in their pursuit of goals, launching an offensive onslaught against the Jaguars. Despite their spirited efforts, the Jaguars' defense held firm and denied the Pilots any breakthroughs.

Just when it seemed like the Jaguars had sealed the game with a 3-0 lead after a goal in the 85th minute, the Pilots showed their fighting spirit. In the 86th minute, Kevin Sithole finally broke through, ending the Jaguars' clean sheet and giving the Pilots a glimmer of hope at 3-1.

The drama continued to unfold in the dying minutes of the game. Adam Gonzalez joined the scoring spree, netting a second goal for the Pilots in the 90th minute.

In the second half, the Pilots managed to outshoot the Jaguars 10-4, showcasing their determination and offensive prowess. Despite their valiant effort, time ran out, and the final whistle blew, securing a hard-fought 3-2 victory for the Texas A&M San Antonio Jaguars.

The Pilots will be back in action Thursday September 16^th as they take on the Jaguars of Houston-Victoria. Kickoff is set for 3:30pm CT from The Swamp in Shreveport, Louisiana.
