Pilots Men's Soccer Devours the Wiley Wildcats

Shreveport, Louisiana— In an electrifying soccer showdown, the LSU Shreveport Pilots soared to a resounding victory over the Wiley Wildcats, leaving fans in awe of their dominant performance. The final score line of this thrilling match was a staggering 13-0 in favor of the Pilots, showcasing their complete and utter superiority on the field. With the win the Pilots move to an overall record of 2-1-1.

From the very first whistle, it was evident that the Pilots were on a mission to assert their dominance. The first half was a relentless onslaught by LSU Shreveport, as they outshot the Wildcats 16-1. Jack Thomas emerged as the star of the show, opening the floodgates for the Pilots with two sublime goals. His precise finishing and impeccable timing left the Wildcats' defense in disarray. As if that wasn't enough, Alex Charles put the icing on the cake with a goal of his own, capping off a first-half performance that was nothing short of breathtaking.

After the halftime break, the Pilots showed no mercy and came out even more dominant than before. They unleashed an unstoppable barrage of goals, scoring an astounding 10 times in the second half alone. The Wildcats were left chasing shadows as the Pilots controlled every aspect of the game.

The shot statistics tell the story of the match, with the Pilots firing off 21 shots in the second half, making it a staggering total of 37 shots for the entire game. In contrast, the Wildcats failed to muster a single shot on goal throughout the match, a testament to the ironclad defense and relentless midfield pressure exerted by LSU Shreveport.

Set pieces also proved to be a fruitful avenue for the Pilots, as they earned a total of 12 corner kicks. Bernardo Pacheco, displaying pinpoint accuracy, managed to score directly from one of those corners, adding another dimension to the Pilots' offensive prowess.

Eight Pilots contributed to the score with five of them having two goals each. Pacheco, Thomas, Adam Gonzalez, Alex Charles, and Guillermo Ferriero each had two goals while Kevin Sithole, Brandon Gasper, and Matthew Menegon had a goal a piece.

The Pilots will be back in action Saturday September 9th as they make their way down to Hattiesburg to face the Crusaders of William Carey. Kickoff is set for 7:00pm from Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
