LSU Shreveport Men’s Basketball Receiving Votes in NAIA Top 25 Poll
SHREVEPORT, La. – The LSU Shreveport men's basketball team is garnering early national attention, receiving votes in the latest NAIA Men's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, released this week by the national office.
The Pilots are off to a 2-1 start to the 2025–26 season, opening the campaign with a commanding 94–50 victory over Wiley University in their annual Champions of Character game. LSUS followed that performance with a thrilling 73–72 road win against Oklahoma City University before falling in overtime, 91–86, to Nelson University (formerly Southwestern Assemblies of God University) on Monday night in Waxahachie, Texas.
Under head coach Kyle Blankenship, LSU Shreveport continues to build on its tradition of excellence with a balanced offense and relentless defensive effort. The Pilots' early performances have showcased their depth, discipline, and ability to compete with top programs across the NAIA landscape.
LSUS will return to the court on Friday, Nov. 14, when the Pilots travel to Henderson, Tenn., to take on Freed-Hardeman University. Tip-off is set for noon.
