LSUS Pilots Land Five on RRAC All-Conference Team; Anderson Named to First Team

SHREVEPORT, La. – The Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) has recognized five LSUS Pilots for their outstanding performances this season. Headlining the selections is Taj Anderson, who earned a spot on the RRAC First Team, while Trey Boston, Davion Coleman, and Tyler Washington were named to the Second Team. Additionally, Boldi Varga was honored with a place on the All-Champions of Character Team for his exemplary sportsmanship and leadership.
A dynamic playmaker and the RRAC's leading scorer, Anderson has been a force on both ends of the floor, averaging 20.2 points per game while shooting an elite 51.9% from the field and an incredible 44.7% from three-point range. His dominance has been recognized throughout the season with three RRAC Player of the Week honors, twice for his offensive brilliance and once for his defensive impact. Anderson has also contributed across the stat sheet with 3.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.1 steals per game. His season was highlighted by two electrifying performances: a 53-point explosion against Paul Quinn College and a 41-point outing against Texas A&M University-San Antonio.
Trey Boston has been a steady presence in the Pilots' backcourt, averaging 13.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game. Over the course of the season, he has totaled 90 rebounds, 113 assists, and 36 steals, proving to be a key playmaker and facilitator for LSUS.
Davion Coleman has been a two-way force for the Pilots, posting 14.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 2.2 steals per game. His overall impact is reflected in his season totals of 104 rebounds, 56 assists, and 50 steals, showcasing his ability to contribute in multiple facets of the game.
Tyler Washington provided a strong interior presence, averaging 11.6 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. His season totals of 149 rebounds, 32 steals, 32 assists, and 23 blocks highlight his defensive versatility and importance to the Pilots' success.
Boldi Varga's selection to the All-Champions of Character Team is a testament to his leadership, integrity, and selfless play. Coming off the bench, Varga has made key contributions throughout the season, including a crucial layup in the Pilots' thrilling triple-overtime victory against Texas A&M University-Texarkana.
With these five standouts leading the charge, LSUS continues to establish itself as a powerhouse in the RRAC. The Pilots now turn their focus toward the postseason, looking to build on their success and make a deep tournament run.
The No. 5 seeded Pilots will take on No. 4-seeded TAMUT in the opening round of the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Men's Basketball Tournament. Tip-off is set for 8 a.m. on Friday, February 28, at Rapides Parish Coliseum in Alexandria, Louisiana.
