LSUS Closes Regular Season with Electrifying Senior Night Win Over LSUA, 101-96

SHREVEPORT, LA – The LSUS Pilots capped off their regular season in style on Senior Night, securing a hard-fought 101-96 victory over in-state rival, No. 1 LSUA at The Dock on Thursday night. The win improves the Pilots' final regular season record to 18-10 overall and 15-9 in Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) play.

Before tip-off, LSUS honored its five seniors—Taj Anderson, Davion Coleman, Melvion Flanagan, Trey Boston, and Angel Smith—who delivered in their final home game, helping lead the Pilots to victory in a high-octane showdown.

Pilots Fly Behind Hill's Dominance
LSUS was led by an explosive performance from Tahjae Hill, who poured in 27 points while adding five rebounds, three assists, and a block. Trey Boston provided a strong two-way effort with 18 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and a block. Taj Anderson also shined on Senior Night, dropping 17 points with two rebounds and two steals.

Devonte Austin contributed 15 points to go along with seven rebounds and two assists, while Davion Coleman filled the stat sheet with 11 points, five boards, and four assists. Melvion Flanagan and Angel Smith rounded out the scoring for the Pilots, finishing with nine and four points, respectively.

As a team, LSUS was lethal offensively, shooting an efficient 50 percent from the field, a red-hot 45.5 percent from beyond the arc, and 81.6 percent from the free-throw line.

Generals' Effort Falls Short
Despite the loss, LSUA's Kashie Natt put on a spectacular performance, notching a double-double with 30 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and five steals. Jakemin Abney added 21 points, three rebounds, and two steals, while Jordan Decuir contributed 12 points and five rebounds.

The Generals struggled from deep, shooting just 26.7 percent from three-point range while finishing at 43.6 percent from the field and 66.7 percent from the stripe.
