LSUS Falls to North American in Tight Battle, 74-68

STAFFORD, Texas – The LSUS Pilots fought until the final buzzer but came up just short against North American University, falling 74-68 in a tightly contested matchup Saturday afternoon on the road.

LSUS (15-10, 12-9 RRAC) saw a strong performance from Davion Coleman, who led the charge with 22 points and eight rebounds. Taj Anderson made a major impact on both ends of the floor, tallying 21 points, four steals, and three rebounds, while Trey Boston added 11 points and four rebounds to keep the Pilots in the fight.

The Pilots shot the ball well, finishing at 47.4% from the field, 45% from three-point range, and 83.3% from the free-throw line, but key defensive plays by North American in the final minutes kept LSUS from completing the comeback.

North American was paced by Jamarric Hammond's 24 points and seven rebounds, while Erric Wynn contributed 18 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and six steals. The Stallions finished the game shooting 42% from the floor, 36.4% from deep, and 66.7% from the stripe.

The Pilots will aim to bounce back on Thursday, Feb. 13, as they return home to face Texas A&M University-San Antonio at 7:30 p.m. inside The Dock.
