Shreveport, La. – The LSUS Pilots put on an offensive clinic Saturday afternoon at The Dock, steamrolling Paul Quinn College 118-74 behind a record-tying performance from Taj Anderson, who dropped 53 points in a dominant display. The victory moves LSUS to 14-9 overall and 11-8 in the Red River Athletic Conference as they continue their push toward the postseason.
Anderson was unstoppable, shooting at an elite level while adding three rebounds, three assists, and three steals. His 53-point explosion matched the LSUS single-game scoring record.
Tyler Washington provided a strong presence inside, notching a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds, while Tahjae Hill added 18 points and five assists. Trey Boston orchestrated the offense with seven assists, helping LSUS shoot a blistering 63.5% from the field and an eye-popping 59.4% from beyond the arc.
The Pilots dominated in transition, punishing the Tigers with 27 points off turnovers while winning the battle in the paint 40-34.
On the other side, Paul Quinn College struggled to keep pace despite a 24-point, six-rebound effort from Norris Williams. Jordan White chipped in 19 points, and Derrick Miller added 14, but the Tigers' 48.3% shooting wasn't enough to match LSUS' offensive firepower.
With momentum on their side, the Pilots now shift their focus to a road matchup against Huston-Tillotson University on Thursday, Feb. 6, at 7:30 p.m.
