Pilots Surge Past Jaguars in San Antonio, 83-65

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — The Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS) Pilots delivered a commanding performance on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Texas A&M University-San Antonio Jaguars, 83-65, in San Antonio, Texas.
The Pilots were led by a stellar outing from Hayden Brittingham, who posted a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds, setting the tone for LSUS. Meikkel Murray paced all scorers with 22 points, adding seven rebounds and two blocks to his impressive stat line. Taj Anderson contributed across the board, finishing with 19 points, six steals, and five assists. Trey Boston rounded out the Pilots' top performers, recording 10 points, six assists, and four rebounds.
LSUS showcased their offensive efficiency, shooting 47.8% from the field and 77.8% from the free-throw line. While their 3-point shooting struggled at 17.6%, their defense and transition play more than compensated, forcing turnovers and capitalizing on opportunities.

Antwone Gonzalez added 14 points and three rebounds, while Felix Greif and Dezmon Dudley contributed on the boards with eight and six rebounds, respectively. TAMUSA shot 38.3% from the field, 31% from beyond the arc, and 83.3% from the charity stripe.
With this victory, the Pilots continue to build momentum heading into the new year. LSUS will return to action on January 4, when they face their rivals, LSU Alexandria (LSUA), at The Dock. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m.
