Pilot Basketball Advances to NAIA Final Site With Victory Over Concordia (NE)

Salina, Kansas-- In a thrilling display of dominance, the 12th ranked Pilots of LSU Shreveport delivered an emphatic victory over the 4th ranked Concordia Bulldogs with a final score of 91-67 in the second round of the NAIA National Tournament. With the win the Pilots move to an overall record of 24-8, moving to the Kansas City Final Site.

From the opening tip-off, the Pilots set the tone for the match, seizing control early and never relinquishing it. As the clock winded down in the first half, the Pilots continued to drive, establishing an impressive 55-34 lead at halftime. The highlight reel was capped off by a thunderous dunk from Tyler Washington, igniting the crowd and propelling the Pilots forward. The second half saw no let-up from the Pilots, as they outscored the Bulldogs 36-33, securing their commanding victory. 

With five Pilots scoring in double digits, led by Tyler Washington's stellar performance with 19 points, including a perfect 8-8 from the field and 3-3 from beyond the arc, the Pilots proved to be an unstoppable force on the court. Calvin Carpenter contributed 18 points, while Paul King added 17 points, Damon Davis and Trey Johnson each chipped in with 11 points, further solidifying the Pilots' dominant performance. With this resounding win, the Pilots advance in the tournament with their sights set on the championship title.

 The Pilots will be back in action March 21st as they take the court at the NAIA Final site in Kansas City.
