Pilots Defeat Wildcats for Seventh Straight Time

Shreveport, Louisiana — In a commanding performance, the LSU Shreveport men's basketball team secured their seventh consecutive victory over the Louisiana Christian Wildcats with a final score of 78-60. With the win the Pilots move to 6-0 on the season and 2-0 in conference leaving the Wildcats having never taken down the Pilots since their entrance into the RRAC in 2021z

 The game started as a closely contested battle before the Pilots took control. At halftime, the Pilots held a 40-34 lead, shooting 14-29 from the field with one three-pointer and making 18-25 free throws. The second half saw the Pilots extending their dominance, outscoring the Wildcats 38-26. They shot 13-31 from the field with five three-pointers and converted 7-10 free throws.

Four Pilots scored in double digits, with Josh Leblanc and Damon Davis leading the charge with 13 points each. Leblanc's performance included a 5-7 field goal record, 3-4 from the free-throw line, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, three steals, and 2 blocks. Davis contributed with a 4-9 field goal record, two three-pointers, 3-4 made free throws, four assists, one rebound, and one steal.

Jalen King rounded out the double-digit scorers, putting up 10 points on 4-8 shooting from the field, including two made free throws. King also secured a double-double with 10 rebounds and added one assist to the impressive victory. The Pilots' well-rounded performance showcased their skill and teamwork in securing another triumph over the Wildcats.

The Pilots will be back in action December 6th as they take on the Wolfpack of Loyola. Tip-off is set for 6:00pm from The Dock in Shreveport, Louisiana.
