Pilots Defeat the Wolfpack of Loyola in a Friday Night Matchup

New Orleans, Louisiana—In an impressive basketball matchup, the LSU Shreveport Pilots secured a 70-59 victory over the Loyola Wolfpack. With the win the Pilots moved to an overall record of 2-0.
The Pilots dominated the first half, establishing a solid lead of 33-22 as the clock expired. Their efficient offensive performance saw them go 13-24 from the field and 7-11 from the free-throw line. In contrast, the Wolfpack struggled, going 10-33 from the field with one three-pointer and 1-3 from the free-throw line.
The second half proved to be a deadlock as both teams put up 37 points each. The Pilots continued their strong offensive display, going 11-29 with three three-pointers and 12-16 from the free-throw line. The Wolfpack improved their shooting, going 8-28 from the field with five three-pointers and 16-19 at the free-throw line.
Four Pilots players contributed to the double-digit scores, with Paul King leading the way with 14 points, shooting 4-8 from the field and 6-8 from the free-throw line. Jordan DeCuir and Jalen King each added 13 points, with DeCuir making 3-8 from the field including a three-pointer and going 6-6 at the free-throw line, while King was 5-8 from the field and 3-4 at the courtesy stripe. He grabbed eight rebounds and made key contributions. Trey Johnson rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10 points, shooting 4-6 from the field, including two three-pointers, and securing five rebounds.
This well-rounded offensive and defensive effort propelled the Pilots to a decisive victory, showcasing their depth and skill on the basketball court.
The Pilots will be back in action Thursday November 16th as they take on the Lions of SAGU. Tip off is set for 6:00pm CT from Waxahachie, Texas.
