Upon completion of his 6th spring in 2025 with LSUS, Neffendorf led the Pilots to a perfect 59-0 season, including a 47-0 regular season and an unblemished 30-0 mark in Red River Athletic Conference play. The Pilots swept the RRAC Tournament with a pair of double-digit victories, hosted and won the Shreveport Bracket in the NAIA Opening Round, and captured the 2025 NAIA National Championship at the Avista NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho. LSUS set a record for the longest winning streak in college baseball history, regardless of division.
The Pilots led or ranked among the nation's elite in nearly every statistical category while setting multiple school and national records. Offensively, LSUS ranked third in the nation with a .376 batting average, second in the nation with a .493 on-base percentage and fifth in the nation with a .601 slugging percentage. The Pilots scored 664 runs, earned 614 RBI and drew 388 walks, all were school records.
On the mound, the Pilots sported a nation leading and school record 2.38 ERA and ranked third in the nation averaging 10.55 strikeouts per nine innings. LSUS hurlers held opponents to a nation’s best and school record .192 batting average. The stellar play extended into the field, where the Pilots tallied a .982 fielding percentage, to lead the nation and establish yet another new school record.
The Pilots also saw several individuals receive National recognition with 5 All-Americans including Isaac Rohde who was named the NAIA National Pitcher of the Year, the Rawlings/ABCA National Pitcher of the Year, the Perfect Game Collegiate and NAIA Ball National Pitcher of the year while Jose Sallorin was named the NAIA and Rawlings/ABCA National Gold Glove Winner at Short Stop. Rohde was also named the RRAC Pitcher of the Year while Josh Gibson was named the RRAC Player of the Year and Cobe Reeves the Newcomer of the Year.

Neffendorf also became the fastest Pilot skipper to eclipse the 200-win mark.

LSUS named two more to ranks of Pilot All-Americans, Isaac Rohde, 1st team, and Vantrel Reed, 3rd Team. Rohde also boasted the lowest ERA in the country at 1.68, which is the fourth best all-time for a Pilot Pitcher.
The 2023 season saw the Pilots fall one out away from capturing their third straight trip to the NAIA World Series after finishing the season with another impressive overall record of 47-10 and 27-3 in RRAC play. The Pilots held a National Ranking of #2 for the final two months of the season while also breaking a handful more program records, both team and individually. They held a 25-game winning streak into the month of May which broke the current record of 23 straight in which they set the year before.
The Pilots were both the RRAC Regular Season Champions and an Opening Round Host #1 Seed for the second year in a row. The 2023 team saw the RRAC Player of the Year, Pitcher of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, and Coach of the Year all for the second straight year while three players were named NAIA All-Americans including Ryan Major, who was the programs first dating back to 2016 to be named to the 1st team. Additionally, three players were selected to the Louisiana Sports Writers All Louisiana Collegiate team and four players signed professional contracts. Gage Bihm signed an MLB Free Agent Contract with the New York Mets, becoming the second pitcher in back-to-back years.
The 2023 Pilots set new program records in team batting average surpassing the record they set in 2022, opponent batting average, and team fielding percentage which they now set and broke the record in three consecutive years from 2021-2023. Individually, the Pilots saw four new individual program records with Ryan Major setting the individual record for Career batting average, single season batting average and hits in a single season with 101 dating back to 2005, while Alex Gonzalez broke the program’s single season record for pitching appearances.
In 2022, Neffendorf led the Pilots to a 53-8 overall regular season record and 31-2 record in the RRAC. The 53 wins were the second most in program history while the 31-2 RRAC record set a program history best in both the schools conference history play and the best record in RRAC Conference history. The Pilots would also set the new program history bests with a 34-2 start, a 23-game winning streak and the program’s best regular season record in history at 47-3.
