LSUS Head Coach Brad Neffendorf Named 2025 ABCA/ATEC Regional Coach of the Year

SHREVEPORT, La. — After guiding LSU Shreveport (LSUS) to an unprecedented, undefeated season and the program's first-ever NAIA National Championship, Head Coach Brad Neffendorf has been named a 2025 ABCA/ATEC Regional Coach of the Year by the American Baseball Coaches Association and ATEC.
Neffendorf's leadership during the 2025 season was nothing short of historic. The Pilots finished with a perfect 59-0 record—setting a new all-time record for the longest winning streak in college baseball history across all divisions. LSUS went 47-0 in the regular season and dominated the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) with a flawless 30-0 conference mark. The Pilots then rolled through the RRAC Tournament, earning a pair of double-digit victories en route to the title.
LSUS continued its dominance in the postseason, hosting and winning the NAIA Baseball Opening Round Shreveport Bracket. The Pilots clinched their trip to the Avista NAIA World Series with a hard-fought 9-6 win over Mid-America Christian in the bracket championship. Once in Lewiston, Idaho, the Pilots proved unstoppable, sweeping the field and capturing the 2025 NAIA Baseball National Championship.
"This is another program award that is a direct reflection of our players, coaching staff and everyone involved that played a major role in our incredible success this year. I am honored to receive this on behalf of them and the recognition they continue to deserve."
The ABCA/ATEC Regional and National Coaches of the Year are selected by members of the ABCA All-America & Coach of the Year committees in all nine divisions: NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA, NJCAA Divisions I, II and III, Pacific Association Division and high school.
