LEWISTON, Idaho – The LSU Shreveport Pilots etched their name into college baseball history on Wednesday night at Harris Field, dismantling No. 6 Southeastern University (Fla.) 10-0 in seven innings in Game 15 of the 2025 Avista NAIA World Series. The victory marked the Pilots' 57th consecutive win, tieing the all-level collegiate baseball record for consecutive victories.
Dominant from the first pitch, LSUS (57-0) struck early and often, piling on five runs in the first inning and never looking back. Senior left-hander Isaac Rohde (16-0) was masterful on the mound, tossing a complete-game four-hit shutout while striking out 10 Fire batters. His performance silenced a Southeastern lineup that came into the tournament swinging hot bats.
The offensive explosion started with a Josh Gibson RBI double to right center, scoring Ryan Davenport. Gibson then stole second and came around to score on Jackson Syring's RBI single. A sacrifice bunt from Ian Montz plated another, followed by Jose Sallorin's two-RBI single, making it 5-0 before SEU could record a third out.
The Pilots added three more in the fourth, highlighted by a solo home run to right from Anthony Swenda. Later in the inning, Austin Gomm's sacrifice fly and Vantrel Reed's RBI single extended the lead to 8-0.
Sallorin picked up his third RBI of the game with a fifth-inning sacrifice fly, and Diego Aragon's groundout scored Swenda for the 10th and final run. The game was called after seven innings due to the NAIA's 10-run rule.
At the plate, Swenda led the way, going 2-for-2 with a homer, two runs scored, and two RBIs. Sallorin added three RBIs, and Gibson, Syring, Montz, Gomm, Reed, and Aragon all chipped in with runs batted in. LSUS swiped four bases and executed clean, aggressive baserunning throughout.
For Southeastern (46-14), starter Bryce McDonald (6-5) was chased after just one inning, allowing five runs on five hits.
With the win, LSUS breaks the previous all-level collegiate record of 56 consecutive victories—surpassing the NCAA Division I record of 34, the NAIA record of 54, and setting a new benchmark across all divisions and associations in collegiate baseball history.
The unbeaten Pilots will face a familiar foe in Game 17, taking on defending NAIA Baseball Champions Hope International University in a high-stakes rematch. First pitch is set for 6:30 PM PDT / 8:30 PM CST on Thursday, May 29.
