SHREVEPORT, La. -- On Saturday, the Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS) Pilots were able to extend their perfect to 44-0 as they completed a series sweep of the Houston-Victoria Jaguars on Senior Day.

The story of Saturday was pitching, as the only offense came in the bottom of the third inning. Ryan Davenport drove in the first run with a line drive up the middle, then later Vantrel Reed grounded one through the middle to drive in the second.

Cobe Reeves took the mound for the Pilots against Julian Garcia, the starter for the Jaguars. Reeves earned the win, improving to 9-0 as he tossed nearly seven shutout innings giving up just three hits while striking out four and walking three. Garcia went eight innings, giving up two earned runs on four hits and racking up ten strikeouts, walking one.

The Pilots will be back in action next weekend when they travel to Hawkins, Texas to take on Jarvis Christian University for the regular season finale. First pitch is at 1 p.m.
