SHREVEPORT, La. — LSU Shreveport continued its undefeated season in dominant fashion, shutting out Texas College in a doubleheader at Pilots Field on Thursday afternoon. The Pilots (32-0, 17-0 RRAC) crushed the Steers 37-0 in game one before completing the sweep with a 15-0 victory in game two.
In game one, LSUS exploded for 37 runs on 22 hits, capitalizing on defensive miscues and relentless offense. Jose Sallorin led the charge with eight RBIs, including a grand slam in the second inning. Cooper Huspen also homered, while Ian Montz contributed a triple, a double, and five RBIs. Diego Aragon added two doubles and five RBIs of his own.
Isaac Rohde (8-0) stayed perfect on the season, tossing five scoreless innings with five strikeouts while allowing just one hit. Miguel Martinez (0-9) took the loss for the Steers (1-19), surrendering 13 runs (12 earned) in just one inning.
In game two, LSUS racked up 15 runs on 15 hits, with DJ Walker setting the tone early with a solo home run in the first. Bula White and Anderson Acinger each recorded triples, while Cooper Huspen drove in two runs and added a stolen base. Tamden Webb-Tate and Christian Hobbs each tallied two RBIs.
On the mound, Draven Zeigler (8-0) kept Texas College in check, allowing just two hits while striking out six in five innings. Zane Cory (0-4) suffered the loss, giving up 12 earned runs on 13 hits in 3.1 innings.
