Austin Gomm Named RRAC Player of the Week

SHREVEPORT, La.— LSU Shreveport's Austin Gomm has been named the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Baseball Player of the Week for March 17-23, the league announced Monday.
Gomm, a senior infielder from Ontario, Canada, delivered at the plate in a dominant 4-0 week for the top-ranked Pilots. He went 8-for-14 (.571) with a double, two home runs, and nine RBIs, helping LSUS extend its perfect season.
Gomm played a key role in a 10-1 non-conference win over Texas Wesleyan, driving in three runs with a pair of triples. He continued his hot streak in a three-game sweep of LSU Alexandria, recording at least one RBI in each contest. He homered in the first two games of the series, including a three-RBI performance in a 14-1 series-opening victory.
The veteran infielder ranks second in the RRAC in batting average (.477) and sits fourth in home runs (7).
LSUS remains the nation's No. 1 team with a flawless 29-0 overall record and a 15-0 mark in conference play.
