LSUS Baseball Unanimous No. 1 in NAIA Top 25 Coaches Poll

SHREVEPORT, La. – The LSU Shreveport (LSUS) Pilots baseball team has once again secured the No. 1 ranking in the latest 2025 NAIA GoRout Baseball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, claiming all 19 first-place votes to maintain their hold at the top. The Pilots' dominant performance in their most recent outing, a commanding 10-1 victory over Texas Wesleyan on Tuesday, improved their record to a flawless 26-0 on the season.
LSUS has been unstoppable both at the plate and on the mound. The Pilots' pitching staff boasts a 2.60 ERA with a strikeout rate of 11.14 K/9 and a total of 253 strikeouts. Leading the charge on the mound is Isaac Rohde, who has racked up an impressive 71 strikeouts. Draven Ziegler follows closely with 54 strikeouts, while Cobe Reeves has recorded 50.
Offensively, Austin Gomm has been a powerhouse for the Pilots, delivering five home runs and maintaining a scorching .491 batting average. Josh Gibson has also been a key contributor, with three home runs and a .413 batting average.
The Pilots will look to extend their undefeated streak this weekend in a three-game series against LSU Alexandria. The series opens with a single game on Friday at 6 p.m., followed by a Saturday doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
