Rohde, Reed....Several Pilots Take Home RRAC Honors

Waco, TX - The Red River Athletic Conference announced their baseball post season honors and the Pilots were well represented. LSUS would place seven on the First Team, six on the Second Team, add two gold gloves and take the top two awards of Player of the Year and Pitcher of the Year. 2024 is the third consecutive year that the Pilots would have both the Player and Pitcher of the Year. LSUS will look to also add the tournament title to their resume after taking home the RRAC Regular Season crown after finishng 28-2. This was also the third consecutive year that LSUS would win the regular season championship. 

Player of the Year - Vantrel Reed, Jr. Vicksburg, Miss.

Reed finished in the top 10 across a number of hitting categories. The junior second baseman from Vicksburg, Miss., was first in total bases (109), second in RBI (52), third in hits (63), third in triples (4), fourth in home runs (8), fourth in runs scored (49), and seventh in batting average (.380). Reed also had 26 extra base hits to go along with 21 stolen bases. 

Pitcher of the Year - Isaac Rohde, Jr. Rice Lake, WI

Rohde is the ace on a strong pitching staff for the Pilots. The junior from Rice Lake, Wis., won the conferences' pitching triple crown as the leader in wins (10), strikeouts (109) and earned run average (1.24). He currently leads the nation in ERA, while also falling in the top 5 in wins and strikeouts.
