Shreveport, Louisiana— The pilots of LSU Shreveport took down the Blue Jays of Tabor and the Eagles of Reinhardt Friday afternoon and evening winning 6-1 and 6-2 respectively. With the wins the Pilots improve to 4-1 on the season.
The Pilots took on the Blue Jays of Tabor in game one Friday afternoon taking the win 6-1. Two hit by pitches put runners on for the Pilots in the form of Josh Gibson and Vantrel Reed. A single by Jose Aquino brought home Gibson and advanced Reed. Reed was later brought home by Anderson Acinger, giving the Pilots a 2-0 lead.
The Pilots and Blue Jays sat scoreless through the fifth as the Pilots remained at just a 2-0 score. The Blue Jays added their first and only run in the top of the sixth. It was quickly answered, however, with another run of their own in the bottom of the inning. Jose Sallorin hit a long shot out of left field to make the score 3-1. The Pilots added their remaining three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning as Josh Gibson sent a three run home run over the fence. The Pilots ended game one against the Blue Jays leading 6-1.

The two Top 25 teams then sat scoreless again through the fourth and top of the fifth.
The Pilots added single runs in the bottom of the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth innings. Jayden Morgan hit a home run in the fifth while Angel Rodriguez hit a home run in the sixth. The Eagles added their only two runs of the game in the top of the seventh breaking the shut out.
