LSUS Men’s Soccer Opens 2025 as RRAC Preseason Favorite
SHREVEPORT, La. — The LSU Shreveport men's soccer team will begin the 2025 season as the favorite to win the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) regular season title for the fourth year in a row. The Pilots topped the RRAC Men's Soccer Preseason Poll, earning 10 first-place votes and 140 total points to finish ahead of Xavier University of Louisiana (one first-place vote, 118 points) and LSU Alexandria (one first-place vote, 112 points).
The recognition comes after a standout 2024 campaign that saw LSUS post a 14-4-4 overall record, go unbeaten in conference play at 11-0-2, and secure its third straight RRAC regular season crown. The Pilots finished the year ranked No. 13 in the NAIA Men's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Postseason Poll.
Under Head Coach Adam Kay, the Pilots made program history by advancing to the NAIA National Tournament's final site in Wichita, Kansas. LSUS opened the tournament with a commanding 4-1 victory over Mid-America Christian University in the second round before falling 1-0 to Bellevue University in a tightly contested Round of 16 match.
The Pilots enter the 2025 season focused on defending their conference title and making another deep run in the national tournament.
