Bio

Entering his sixth season on the Pilots' staff, Devin Jackson was elevated to the lead assistant position during the summer of 2025. In his new role, he will continue to oversee the day-to-day operations of the program while serving as Recruiting Coordinator and Director of Player Development.

Since joining LSUS in 2020, Jackson has played a key role in the program's success. Over the past five seasons, the Pilots have claimed three Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Regular Season championships, two RRAC Tournament titles, and earned five consecutive trips to the NAIA National Tournament, highlighted by three Sweet 16 appearances in Kansas City. Jackson has been instrumental in recruiting, coaching, and developing five NAIA All-Americans, three RRAC Newcomers of the Year, and the 2023 RRAC Player of the Year.

Before his arrival at LSUS, Jackson began his coaching career as an assistant at his alma mater LSU-Alexandria. During the 2019-20 season, he helped guide the Generals to the RRAC Regular Season championship and a No. 4 seed in the NAIA National Tournament before the campaign was cut short due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Generals finished that season ranked No. 13 in the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll.

As a player, Jackson was a standout sharpshooter at LSU-Alexandria. He capped his career by leading the Generals to the 2019 RRAC Regular Season title and an Elite Eight appearance in the NAIA National Tournament, while setting school records for most three-pointers made in a season (112) and in a single game (8). Prior to transferring to LSUA, Jackson spent one season at NCAA Division I Sam Houston State and two seasons at Paris Junior College. At PJC, he scored 222 three-pointers across two seasons, earned multiple team MVP honors, and ranked among the top three-point shooters in the NJCAA.

A native of Houston, Texas and graduate of Aldine Nimitz High School, Jackson earned his bachelor's degree from LSU-Alexandria in 2019 and completed his master's degree in Educational Leadership at LSUS in 2022.
