Pilots Rebound with Win Over Huston Tillotson

Shreveport, Louisiana— In a compelling basketball matchup, the LSU Shreveport Pilots emerged victorious against the Huston Rams with a final score of 80-69. With the win the Pilots move to an overall record of 16-5 and a conference record of 11-4. 

The Pilots demonstrated their dominance early, leading 39-31 at halftime. Shooting 15-29 from the field, including three three-pointers, and making six of ten free throws, the Pilots showcased a well-rounded offensive performance.

The second half saw the Pilots maintain their momentum, outscoring the Rams 41-38. Tyler Washington led the charge with an impressive double-double, contributing 24 points and 12 rebounds. Washington's versatile performance included 10-19 shooting, 3 three-pointers, and a successful free throw. Calvin Carpenter made a significant impact, securing 17 points with a 5-10 field goal record and a notable 7-9 from the free-throw line. Damon Davis rounded out the top three scorers for the Pilots, adding 13 points to secure the team's victory.

The Pilots will be back in action Thursday February 8th as they take on the Bulldogs of Jarvis Christian. Too-off is set for 7:30pm CT from Hawkins Texas.
